I moved Londonderry in May 2018. After living with my late husband, Jack, for 37 years in Hampton, Virginia, I was very hesitant to make the transition to a new community. However, after a warm welcome from both residents and staff, I quickly felt comfortable in the neighborhood. With the support of my designated ambassador, as well as encouragement from my immediate neighbors, I began to take part in Londonderrys many offerings, including on-site exercise classes, day trips to nearby cities and events, and various activities on Londonderrys well-equipped campus. So far, my favorite experience has been the annual trip to Lancaster, Pennsylvania for a production by Sight and Sound Theatre. In my short time at Londonderry, I have found that the Activities Committee works so hard to find new and interesting opportunities for residents to enjoy, and the results pay off. I am grateful to everyone at Londonderry for helping me to relax in and enjoy my new community.

Queenie, Londonderry Resident since February 2018
